New Report on citizen data – “Making Citizen Generated Data Work”

What kind of data is at the heart of the entire Scent project? Citizen-generated data (CGD).

CGD is how the Scent project will develop a “people-centred” web for monitoring the environment around us.

A new study from research organisations Open Knowledge International and DataShift, “Making Citizen Generated Data Work” explores the effectiveness of citizen-generated data, how it can be used to its fullest for more representative results and how people, the “citizens” can be encouraged to provide useful data.
